Today was to be the day that I wrapped up all of my loose ends and got back to putting my left foot in front of my right. I breakfasted with a horde of other thru-hikers and quickly deconstructed my campsite. A few hours later, with my errands done and a patty-melt in my stomach (thanks Doc!), I left the kickoff. A fellow by the name of "FallRisk" had the same idea and after ten miles of hiking we pitched our tents in the dark. There is a stream nearby with a host of frogs chirping and the moon is brighter than I have ever seen it before.
